Sandy Neck Lighthouse Restoration Committee

ABOUT US

The Sandy Neck Lighthouse Restoration Committe is a subsidiary of the American Lighthouse Foundation.  We are a small group of Volunteers interested in bothe the restoration and preservation of regional lighthouses and in the history and preservation of historical Barnstable Village.

Our Purpose is to restore the lantern room on the Sandy Neck Lighthouse in order to return the tower to its original historic appearance for all to see and also therby to preotect the interior of the tower from the weather.

The restored tower will be a beacon to remind us, and make us proud, or our nautical past.  We hope to have this project accomplished in plenty of time for celebrating the 150th Anniversary (1857 - 2007) of the tower.
